Overview
A full-stack platform for The Zone, a podcast studio in Medellín, Colombia. It combines an SEO-focused marketing site with online booking, an e-commerce checkout for one-time and subscription services, a client portal, and an admin back office for invoices, payments, and revenue reporting.
Every new lead goes through an automated pipeline that writes a short AI brief and alerts the team on Slack, WhatsApp, the CRM, and the project management tool.
Payments with Stripe
- Stripe Checkout for one-time purchases and recurring subscriptions, with guest checkout and a customer portal.
- Payment Links for invoices, including deposit payments, and invoices downloadable as PDFs in the browser.
- Signed webhooks that are safe to receive more than once, covering payments, refunds, and disputes.
- A Stripe-style revenue dashboard with period comparisons, daily and monthly breakdowns, and CSV exports of payments and invoices.
Lead automation & integrations
- OpenAI writes a short brief of each incoming lead for the team.
- Slack Block Kit messages with interactive buttons and modals, plus request-signature verification.
- Twilio WhatsApp and SMS alerts, GoHighLevel CRM sync by webhook, and automatic ClickUp tasks.
- Calendly booking embedded on the site with signed webhooks for scheduled meetings; Resend for transactional email; Gmail IMAP pulls client replies back into the lead record.
Backend, cloud & operations
- Flask split into modular Blueprints (auth, cart, checkout, portal, admin) with Jinja2 templates and Gunicorn.
- PostgreSQL through psycopg 3 with hand-written SQL and schema migrations that are safe to re-run; Flask-Login sessions with Werkzeug password hashing.
- Media on Cloudflare R2 (S3-compatible, via boto3) with presigned URLs.
- A daily automated database backup to R2: tables exported as CSV, compressed to tar.gz, and old backups removed after a retention period.
Frontend, SEO & quality
- Hand-written HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript — no frontend framework.
- Dedicated SEO landing pages, JSON-LD structured data, a dynamic sitemap.xml and robots.txt, and Google Analytics 4.
- A Pillow script that generates responsive WebP images in several sizes and FFmpeg video poster frames, with lazy-loaded media.
- A honeypot field that filters bot form submissions, and a Python unittest suite covering checkout, subscriptions, invoice deposits, webhooks, cart logic, and revenue metrics.
